Senior/Lead Web Engineer
Gear Games develops iOS/Android games with high concurrent users and heavy network traffic in global markets (US, Europe, Arab). Alongside game development, we also build web-based platforms to support and enhance our gaming ecosystem. To keep up with our growth, we’re looking for a skilled Backend Engineer to design and optimize scalable, high-performance systems. You’ll play a key role in developing robust backend solutions that power our games/web projects.
Lead internal Tools Engineer's team to implement new tool features and improve current tools (performance and UX)
Debug and fix existing issues.
Write technical design documents, for milestones and internal use.
Provide technical solutions, innovate, and improve the quality of implementation, performance.
Control the technical quality and coding best practices of the project.
Work with producers to plan task scheduling/resource assignment/risk evaluation, define/propose the future roadmap of the project
Work/Talk with clients on the technical side
Other duties as assigned by management
Job Requirements
At least 5 years of experience working in Software/Web Development
Solid experience in JavaScript ES6/TypeScript working with ReactJS/Redux or VueJS
Solid experience in all areas of web development (HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, JSON) including accessibility and security concerns
Solid experience in modern front-end build pipelines and tools (e.g. Git, Webpack, NPM)
Solid experience in back-end development, C# or NodeJS or Python
Good experience in Agile (Scrum model) development environments
Well-versed in writing structured, well-documented, maintainable, and clean code
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Working experience with big web projects is an advantage
Experience with SQL relational databases development: tables design, query optimization, and procedure creation
Experience with AWS (EC2, ALB..)
Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, DynamoDB, …
Experience with caching systems such as Memcache, and Redis.
Ability to work under pressure, independently, and within a team
Good communication skills in English
Great attitude and work ethic
Nice to have:
Experience setting up, using, or configuring CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g. Git, Ansible, Jenkins, NPM,..)
Understanding of RESTful API design and Microservices-based systems
Has experience with Django
Having experience with using AI tools to support development is an advantage
